The Buyer is responsible for the purchase of products from assigned vendors, developing and maintaining forecast of product need manage inventory levels and working with vendors and Sales team to maximize Almos business. What you will do in this role: Product Management: Handle product issues and availability with vendors. Negotiate price, deal with pricing issues, price protection, returns of defective product, stock balance issues missing product, shipment ETAs, shipment PODs, turns and tracking/debiting monies owed Almo. New Product Development (if applicable): Find products and brands that represent our company and our customer. Work with vendors on new product development and introduction process. Negotiate, build and source compelling product assortments at the best value Source products in a timely manner to plan for upcoming seasons Forecast and analyze sales and provide weekly sales and inventory reports Drive sales through the selection of product, pricing, promotion for the best return on investment Negotiate and build strong relationships with vendors Create a competitive pricing strategy Prepare for product launches by providing shipping, inventory, and pricing details for each product. Work with Marketing and Sales to develop merchandising plans Lead product purchasing for multiple regional distribution centers Lead inventory planning and management M81319
