Summary Responsible for the safe operation of company vehicles and the delivery of products to the customer locations. This includes maintaining the proper licensing to operate the required vehicles. Persons in this job must maintain a driving record in good standing and comply with all regulatory requirements for a commercial driver.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Three years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow simple instructions; bilingual skills preferred.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
- Ability to apply common-sense reasoning to carry out detailed but uncomplicated instructions.
- Ability to read computer-generated reports preferred.
- CA CDL-Class A certification with no restrictions.
- Current DOT Medical Certification.
- Less than 2 points on driving record.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial classified vehicles.
- Perform and record DOT and other governmental required inspections.
- Complete paperwork as necessary and in a timely manner.
- Load and unload truck as necessary to deliver product to customers.
- Use of lift-trucks when necessary.
- Interact with plant personnel and customer staff as necessary to perform delivery.
