About The Position

Nationwide Fab ., is a leading manufacturer of custom commercial stainless steel food service equipment. Our products are found in independent and chain restaurants, stadiums, hospitals, universities, corporate centers, and other commercial locations. A Cabinet Maker II follows blueprints to construct and assemble custom cabinetry and millwork, using a variety of tools and machines.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Wood Working Experience/training program/apprenticeship or industry experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to adapt and adjust plans to meet changing needs.

Responsibilities

  • Operates various woodworking machines (saws, sanders, file, routers) and hand tools .
  • Reads and follows blueprints to accurately measure, cut, and assemble materials according to instructions .
  • Identifies defects in materials and ensures the quality of all finished products.
  • Applies various finishing and staining techniques.
  • Operates and maintains a Beam Saw machine to cut various materials to specifications, ensuring precision and adhering to safety protocols .
  • Operates a CNC to produce highly precise and intricate wooden parts.
  • Operates an edgebander to enhance the durability, appearance and functionality of the finished product.
  • Keeps their work area and tools clean and organized
  • Maintains reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, dependable, and flexible to potential schedule changes to meet the needs of the department and the organization.
  • Executes each essential duty satisfactorily to perform job successfully.
  • Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.
  • Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect.
  • Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.
  • Follows all department quality standards/criteria. Raises concerns and issues to management.
  • Understands department’s key performance indicators (KPIs) and contributes to achieve these goals both individually and as a team.
  • Other duties as needed or required.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes in order to meet business needs.
  • Some travel may be required.
