Cabinet Maker responsibilities include constructing high-quality custom cabinetry from hardwoods and other materials, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications provided by the foreman. This involves matching materials and wood grain for uniformity, double-checking measurements for accurate assembly, and referencing plans throughout the process. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace is essential, as is tracking inventory through production software, packaging finished products and preparing them for shipment.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in construction, woodworking, millwork, and cabinet manufacturing preferred.
  • Verifiable cabinet/wood shop experience. (Willing to train qualified candidates who have experience with cabinetry and millwork in the construction industry.)
  • Must speak English.
  • Must be mechanically inclined and know how to read a tape measure and know basic terminology.
  • Must follow safe work practices.
  • Must have attention to detail, be able to read and follow shop drawings and cut lists.
  • Sitting for extended periods - Rarely
  • Standing and/or Walking - Regularly
  • Bending, Stooping, Reaching and Stretching - Regularly
  • Lifting and/or Pushing minimum 40 lbs. - Regularly
  • Loud noise for extended periods - Frequently
  • Seeing: depth perception & color vision - Occasionally
  • Primarily working inside temperature-controlled building. Generally well-lit. May be expected to walk project sites and be exposed to outside weather conditions, wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.

  • CNC Experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Working in a shop environment as part of a team to accomplish a common goal.
  • Building the highest quality custom cabinetry from hardwoods and other materials
  • To be clean, organized and prepared for work.
  • To construct and assemble cabinet components, making sure all pieces fit the dimensions specified by the foreman to achieve top quality standards.
  • To match material and wood grain to create a uniform appearance for all the matching units.
  • To verify and double check every calculation to ensure alignment of doors, hinges, and side panels; always using plans for reference.
  • To maintain a safe and organized working environment by cleaning and disposing of old materials, such as nails and screws
  • Inventory raw materials and track materials through production using software.
  • Packaging finished goods and loading finished goods for shipment.
  • Maintaining and organizing work area.
