About The Position

We’re looking for experienced Low Voltage Cabling Technicians to support a large‑scale Access Point (AP) installation project across the Houston market. This is a night‑shift role starting at 5 PM, ideal for technicians who are comfortable working independently, following a structured deployment schedule, and delivering high‑quality cabling work in commercial environments.

Requirements

1–3+ years of low voltage cabling experience (Cat5e/Cat6)
Hands‑on experience with AP installs, cable routing, and terminations
Comfort working from lifts, ladders, and overhead spaces
Ability to read and follow basic technical diagrams
Must provide own basic hand tools (punchdown, snips, drill, etc.)
Ability to work night shifts consistently starting at 5:00 PM
Strong communication and reliability

Nice To Haves

Experience with enterprise wireless deployments (Cisco, Aruba, Meraki, etc.)
Familiarity with Fluke testing or similar certification devices
Previous retail, warehouse, or large commercial install experience
OSHA 10 or related safety certifications

Responsibilities

Pull, route, and terminate Cat5e/Cat6 cabling for wireless Access Point installations
Support AP mounting, labeling, and basic configuration assistance (if required)
Follow project scopes, floor plans, and install standards
Test and certify cabling using Fluke or similar test equipment
Ensure clean, organized cable pathways in ceiling spaces, conduits, and racks
Complete nightly project documentation and update leads on progress
Work safely in active commercial sites after hours
Troubleshoot cable issues, terminations, connectors, and placements as needed
