Nature and Scope: Daman Products is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineering Intern to join our team in Mishawaka, Indiana. This internship offers hands-on experience working alongside our engineering team to design and develop custom hydraulic manifold solutions using advanced CAD tools. This is an excellent opportunity for a student pursuing a degree in engineering to gain real-world experience in precision manufacturing, product design, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
  • Basic experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a hands-on manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and modeling of custom hydraulic manifolds using CAD software
  • Create and update 3D models, technical drawings, and documentation
  • Support engineering changes, revisions, and product updates
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and accuracy
  • Participate in design reviews and problem-solving activities
  • Help maintain organized design files and engineering records
