Nature and Scope: Daman Products is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineering Intern to join our team in Mishawaka, Indiana. This internship offers hands-on experience working alongside our engineering team to design and develop custom hydraulic manifold solutions using advanced CAD tools. This is an excellent opportunity for a student pursuing a degree in engineering to gain real-world experience in precision manufacturing, product design, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- Basic experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Eagerness to learn and contribute in a hands-on manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and modeling of custom hydraulic manifolds using CAD software
- Create and update 3D models, technical drawings, and documentation
- Support engineering changes, revisions, and product updates
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and accuracy
- Participate in design reviews and problem-solving activities
- Help maintain organized design files and engineering records
