About The Position

We are seeking a CAD Designer / Drafter II to support oil and gas operations in Carlsbad, NM. This role is responsible for updating and modifying engineering drawings, incorporating field redlines, and coordinating with engineering and document control teams to maintain accurate technical documentation.
The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD experience, familiarity with Bluebeam, and prior experience supporting oil and gas facilities or surface operations. This position requires strong collaboration with engineers, field teams, and document control to ensure drawing revisions are completed accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

• 3+ years of CAD drafting or design experience
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience using Bluebeam for markups and documentation review
• Experience working with engineering drawings, redlines, and revision control processes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, field teams, and document control groups
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally if required.
• Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR, agility, fit for duty

• Oil and gas industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Update and revise engineering drawings using AutoCAD based on field and engineering redlines
• Process drawing modifications and ensure revisions are properly documented and submitted to the document control team
• Review redlined drawings and translate field changes into accurate CAD updates
• Collaborate with engineers, project teams, and field personnel to clarify design updates and changes
• Utilize Bluebeam to review markups, revisions, and documentation updates
• Maintain organized drawing files and ensure revision control standards are followed
• Support engineering teams with drafting updates for oil and gas facilities, pipelines, and related infrastructure
• Ensure drawing updates comply with company drafting standards and engineering requirements
