About The Position

Computer Aided Design (CAD) Specialist Description: Develops detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting equipment. Produces three-dimensional models, using CAD software. Lay out and draw schematic, orthographic and/or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems and machines. Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or reduce production problems. Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and procedures and instructions to be followed.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a field related to the position description.
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in the field of computer systems troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
  • Familiarity with NAVAIR, NAWCAD and relevant programs desired.
  • Experience using Autodesk Product Design Suite 2019 to include AutoCad Inventor, AutoCad Electrical, AutoCad Raster Design, AutoCad HSM and AutoCad Vault.
  • Experience in converting Numerical Control Generated Code into ProtoTrak System Computer Numerical Code G-code is highly desired.
  • Clearance: Top Secret/SCI.
  • Yankee White may be required
