Job Description The CAD Drafter supports engineering activities such as CAD design and mechanical layouts. This position reports to the Engineering Team Lead. You will report to the Engineering Team Leader and work on-site from either our Mequon or Richland Center locations.

Requirements

Associate's degree in mechanical engineering design.
Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Nice To Haves

3D CAD knowledge: Creo, Solidworks, etc.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Must be available and willing to work overtime in order to meet customer project commitments.
Must perform duties in the office.
Expected to support group projects going through manufacturing.
Must be able to work in a project driven environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged.

Responsibilities

Individual custom mechanical design and panel layouts for system hardware technicians.
Help in with custom mechanical work on detailed hardware layouts.
Provide updates to technican /engineer on the status of requested activities.
May participate in project meetings, production handover, and continuous improvement projects
Be a self-starter on mechanical requests
Create / Pull Part numbers
Create the Engineering Change Notices to release part numbers
Coordinate with other departments as necessary to satisfy their project needs.
Supports an environment conducive to successful team interaction.
Responsible for meeting project schedule, engineering hour's budget, and customer satisfaction targets.
Must be commercially aware of the impact to the business performing the CAD Drafter function to the benefit of the company and customers.
