About The Position

Wherever a brand lives, Star is there to make it shine. At this time, STAR has an open position for a CAD Engineer (full-time, exempt). The CAD Engineer's expertise in technical drawing, project management, manufacturing support, problem-solving, and software proficiency ensures successful engineering projects with high-quality design outcomes. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Pivotal in translating design concepts into detailed technical drawings and 3D models using CAD software. Collaborate closely with Project Engineers, Design Engineers, and builders, to ensure accurate communication of design intent. Manage design files to prevent conflicts, prioritize tasks for project deadlines, and provide technical support during manufacturing, ensuring designs meet quality standards. Use problem-solving skills to address design challenges and optimizing designs for functionality and cost-effectiveness. Complete AutoCAD drawings (2D and 3D, technical, graphic, CNC, and setup) for assigned projects in a timely manner Actively participate in internal project meetings, including project margin and variance reviews, new business production meetings and project debriefs Complete daily reporting responsibilities The ideal candidate for this job will possess a collaborative spirit, a commitment to exceeding client expectations, fanatical attention to detail, and an exceptional ability to manage assigned tasks and timelines. Requirements

• 2-year degree in drafting / design
• 2+ years of experience in CAD drafting (experience in retail, tradeshow or cabinetry strongly preferred)
• Software proficiency (AutoCAD, MS Office-Excel, internet)
• Willingness and ability to work beyond 40 hours per week during peak periods to ensure client needs are met
