About The Position

To assist in the development, creation and manipulation of Revit models for each campus building, as well as AutoCAD updates. This position is within Facilities Information Systems (FIS), which is part of ACC’s Facilities & Construction Department.

Requirements

• A knowledge of architectural documents
• BIM software's- AutoCAD and Revit
• BIM Modeling principles including creating and editing Revit models with appropriate wall types, geo-location and elevations.
• Maintaining an established work schedule.
• Time Management skills to complete projects.
• Effectively using interpersonal and communications skills including tact and diplomacy.
• Effectively using organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Maintaining confidentiality of work-related information and materials.
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
• Ability to work independently or in a group within departmental policies and guidelines.
• Demonstrated proficiency with standard office software.
• Demonstrated proficiency with BIM software.
• Completion of A&E CAD - Architectural Specialization courses DFTG-2431 and DFTG-2428, or one year related experience can count as sufficient education requirement.
• Employee must be able to get to Highland for all scheduled work hours.
• A minimum of 15hrs and max of 19hrs must be completed each week.
• There is a 2-semester minimum employment and max of 1 year employment in this position.

Responsibilities

• Create Revit models for each campus building.
• Use .dwg’s of floor plans, elevations and site plans and turn them into Revit models.
• Reading of PDF construction documents to create accurate as-built BIM models.
• Create .dwg's of MEP plans to correlate with as built documents and physical conditions.
• Assist in campus site plan updates in AutoCAD
• Assist in AutoCAD drawings for FIS team
