About The Position

Our team of experts works across various industries to deliver high-quality services in environmental planning, compliance, and management. Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CAD/GIS Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer-aided design (CAD) and geographic information systems (GIS) to support environmental projects. This role involves creating, analyzing, and managing spatial data and maps, as well as producing high-quality technical drawings and visualizations for environmental assessments, permitting, and planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3 years of professional related experience in Environmental Consulting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in CAD and GIS, preferably in an environmental consulting or related industry.
  • Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
  • Strong understanding of spatial data management, geoprocessing, and cartographic principles.
  • Experience with GPS data collection and integration into GIS platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain GIS databases, maps, and spatial data for environmental projects.
  • Create detailed CAD drawings, layouts, and designs for environmental site plans, remediation projects, and infrastructure development.
  • Perform spatial analysis and modeling to support environmental impact assessments and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and scientists to provide GIS and CAD support for various environmental projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in CAD and GIS work.
  • Prepare high-quality visualizations, including maps, charts, and 3D models, to communicate complex data effectively.
  • Conduct field data collection using GPS and other surveying tools, as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GIS and CAD software.
  • Stay updated on advancements in GIS and CAD technologies and recommend improvements to workflows.
