WSP is currently initiating a search for a CADD/OpenRoads Technician
for our Altamonte Springs, FL office to support our Southeast Region Geospatial /
Surveying Team. The successful candidate will be part of a team conducting
conventional, aerial, mobile and terrestrial surveying projects surveying staff
members.

Your Impact

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop technically accurate and deliverable computer-generated CADD drawings
utilizing Open Roads Designer, based on surveyors notes and sketches;
preparation of complete contract drawings; maintain adherence to company and
client CADD standards and procedures
Prepare and produce survey documents as directed
Conduct project research and review plans, legal descriptions, and
calculations.
Process field crew data
Provide technical support for field crews including files, instructions, and
maps
Compile, organize, and analyze survey data with supervision
Prepare state DOT mapping
Working closely and collaboration with a dynamic team of experienced
professionals
Produce consistent, high-quality drafting according to internal and client
specifications
Maintain a high-level production and quality to meet & exceed client
expectations
Observe and comply with all company and related safety rules

Who You Are

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and/or Open Roads Designer experience
• Familiar with other relevant software such as GIS or BIM and technology used in surveying and civil engineering
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented and able to follow QA/QC procedures
• Self-motivated, highly reliable and great work ethic
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Must be able to work with a team
• WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

Nice To Haves

• Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) knowledge is a plus.
• Working knowledge of surveying and/or civil engineering practices is a plus.
