CADD Technician - Bridge
About The Position
We are looking for a Senior Bridge Technician / CADD Drafter to join our Mechanicsburg office with our Bridge team! A successful candidate will perform basic technical assistance and drafting for transportation tasks. Under supervision, performs plan development and calculations of varying degrees of difficulty for a wide variety of assignments that may include, technical studies, bridge designs, other roadway structure designs, and quantities. Requirements
- 8-15 years of applicable experience
- Expertise with CADD, specifically MicroStation
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s Degree in CADD technology or related field preferred
- Limited expertise with 3D modeling and BIM preferred
- Expertise with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Working knowledge of Design Manuals and Drafting Guidelines
- Good oral and written communications skills
Responsibilities
- Provides technical assistance and drafting tasks in support of transportation project development, with an emphasis on the design of bridges and other roadway structures.
- Performs drafting and design calculations.
- Works on small technical assignments independently.
- Coordinates with other technicians and engineers within Roadway CBG.
- Utilizes CADD to develop construction plans.
- Utilizes 3D design and modeling software to develop 3D models and BIM models.
