About The Position

We here at Cobblestone Creek Country Club are looking to fill our seasonal pool cafe chef position. We are seeking an individual with experience working in a small, bistro-style kitchen environment. A strong sense of creativity is required to constantly produce new and interesting offerings to coordinate with our location and season of operation.

Requirements

  • Prior History in the culinary arts.
  • Food preparation and/or food service experience.
  • Ability to prepare and/or serve food.
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
  • Knowledge and ability to perform the required role during emergency situations.
  • Food Safety Certification.
  • Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend.
  • Stretch and twist or reach.
  • Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuous repetitive motions.
  • Work in a hot, humid and noisy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily kitchen operations during prep and service.
  • Help develop and execute seasonal menus.
  • Manage inventory and organization.
  • Ensure food quality, consistency, pacing, and food safety standards.
  • Lead kitchen execution for special events.
  • Maintain recipes, prepare lists.
  • Family-focused menu choices.
  • Maintain a consistent opening and closing SOPs.
  • Provides food and service according to the club’s standards.
  • Maintains cleanliness of production and service equipment and of production, storeroom, service and other areas.
  • Ensures foods are held at safe storage temperatures.
  • Ensures that required revenue control procedures are consistently used.
  • Gives food prep assignments during off-peak periods, as needed.
  • Requisitions supplies from club’s kitchen and storeroom and ensures proper transfer and storage.
  • Provides adequate display of garnishes and condiments on “self-serve” basis.
  • Complies with applicable health, fire, and other laws and requirements.
  • Develops outlet’s budget and monitors to ensure that financial goals are attained.
  • Makes product suggestions to staff to increase sales and heighten member satisfaction.
  • Receives and resolves complaints applicable to the outlet.
  • Maintains and monitors an inventory of all outlet products, supplies, small equipment, and other items.
  • Consistently complies with the club’s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages to members and guests.
  • Suggests menu additions based on member and guest requests.
  • Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Family Plan Manager.
  • Completes other appropriate assignments made by our executive chef
