CAFE MANAGER
About The Position
The Cafe Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a cafe to ensure a high-quality customer experience and efficient business performance. This role involves managing staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The manager will develop and implement strategies to increase sales, control costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. They will also handle administrative tasks such as purchasing, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting. Ultimately, the Cafe Manager plays a critical role in creating a welcoming environment that encourages repeat business and fosters a positive team culture.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the food service or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
- Certification in food safety (e.g., ServSafe).
- Demonstrated success in driving sales and managing budgets.
- Leadership training or experience in team development.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily cafe operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Recruit, train, and manage cafe staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships to maintain stock and control costs.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement marketing and promotional activities to attract and retain customers.
- Manage financial aspects including budgeting, cash handling, and sales reporting.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
