Camera Test Engineer
About The Position
As a Camera Test Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring our systems meet stringent quality standards, contributing to the consistent delivery of high-quality products to our customers. This role requires creative problem-solving to address challenging testing issues and a drive to continuously improve our automation methods, throughput, user interfaces, and data analytics. We are looking for someone with an eagerness to learn and adapt within fast-paced, highly technical, and interdisciplinary teams. Excellent communication skills are essential for collaborating across teams to quickly and effectively resolve production issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience or coursework involving data acquisition and processing with tools like MATLAB, Python, or other programming languages.
- Familiarity with test automation and report generation concepts.
- Foundational understanding of root cause analysis principles for hardware, software, and firmware, with a desire to develop these skills further.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Exposure to or coursework involving the integration of electrical, opto-mechanical, and software/firmware systems.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Support and optimize production test activities, including hands-on troubleshooting of complex infrared systems and maintaining test equipment for precision and reliability.
- Develop and maintain software for test automation, data analytics, and report generation.
- Conduct root cause analysis of product failures, develop troubleshooting guides, and collaborate with engineering teams on corrective actions and failure analysis.
- Generate clear test work instructions for technicians and provide training on equipment usage.
- Analyze test data, document findings, and generate detailed reports to identify defects, provide feedback for product enhancements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute feedback to early-stage test design for new product introduction (NPI) processes.
