The Team You’ll Work With: The Mayor’s Office of Mass Engagement (OME) is responsible for strategizing, coordinating, and executing on engagement that reaches the masses of everyday New Yorkers. We engage New Yorkers in shaping policy outcomes, demystifying government, and ensuring that the government remains accountable to serving the people of this great City. Our work is designed as a long-term project – we are building the power of everyday New Yorkers, and we are building a City that works for all of us. The Problems You’ll Solve: The Campaigns Director's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Coordinate a volunteer system that allows New Yorkers to participate in large-scale, meaningful engagement and events across multiple long-term projects and issue-based advocacy campaigns. - Build campaign initiatives for The Mayor’s Office of Mass Engagement and connect existing campaigns in collaboration with the Commissioner, Campaign Managers, and other Directors at OME. - Develop strategy, process, and metrics of success for scalable campaigns that help New Yorkers join town halls, training, canvases, and other events that forge relationships and leadership development among regular New Yorkers. - Support campaign managers on executing on timelines, reaching goals and metrics, and communicating how the mass participation of New Yorkers as volunteers can meaningfully impact our city. - Work across the Mayor’s Office of Mass Engagement to bring in all pieces of our engagement work into mass initiatives. - Represent the Mayor’s Office of Mass Engagement at public meetings when required. - Other duties as required. About You: - You are a committed organizer, passionate about ensuring that the public has a voice in the development and implementation of government policies and processes. - You are a motivated self-starter who can manage complicated projects with minimal guidance. - You are excellent at time management. - You are an enthusiastic collaborator.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 3+ years of experience.
• You are a committed organizer, passionate about ensuring that the public has a voice in the development and implementation of government policies and processes.
• You are a motivated self-starter who can manage complicated projects with minimal guidance.
• You are excellent at time management.
• You are an enthusiastic collaborator.
