About The Position

We are looking for a Campus Recreation Manager to join our Easterseals NH Military and Veteran Campus team! This is an exciting new role that will develop, lead, facilitate, and enhance overall recreation programs and activities at the ESNH Military and Veteran Campus. As the Campus Recreation Manager, you will partner with Campus Leadership, Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs), and other key stakeholders to promote programming utilization and support to clients. Additional responsibilities include: Develop, lead, and facilitate Easterseals-provided on-campus recreation activities and programming. Maintain certification and training required to safely conduct recreation activities on the ESNH Military and Veteran Campus, including but not limited to, the Challenge Course. Coordinate with the VSO & Agency Outreach manager to design, facilitate, lead, and implement the use of campus recreational facilities, therapeutic programming, and equipment on behalf of VSOs, corporate groups, and other third parties. Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain corporate partners, vendors, etc. in alignment with the ESNH Military and Veteran Campus mission and values. Actively play a hands-on role with group recreation programming, activity oversight, etc. Continuously propose, develop, and lead new recreational and therapeutic activities for all age groups and stakeholders to enhance the campus experience and meet assigned goals. Ensure proper training and compliance with appropriate use and maintenance of campus recreational equipment. Recruit, train, and orient individual contractors, volunteers, and other stakeholders on recreation activities and equipment. Manages recreational and therapeutic programming utilization, creates assigned reports, etc. Oversees annual inspection, maintenance, and safety needs for recreation activities and equipment. Establish, promote, and coordinate regularly scheduled dates/times for the provision of services by Veterans Service Organizations and other community organizations on the ESNH Military and Veteran Campus. Partner with the Retreat Center General Manager and VSO & Agency Outreach Manager to update the campus activities calendar. Cultivate and drive teambuilding efforts amongst Veteran Service Organizations, military organizations, and other agencies. Act as the primary point of contact and presence for recreation programming. Represent the agency at business and community events, conferences, meetings, and committees as directed to promote visibility in the community. Participate in and attend meetings.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required, with a minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of related experience
  • At least one (1) year of experience providing recreational leadership or coordination
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including occasional nights and weekends
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Therapy preferred, with a minimum of three (3) years of experience
  • A current NH Recreational Therapist License & Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) credential are preferred
