About The Position

Lead Safety on One of the Most Ambitious Data Center Builds in the Country. Our client is one of Texas' most respected general contractors with over 55 years of building excellence. They are currently leading a large -scale, multi -building data center campus build in Turkey, TX. As the lead GC on this project, they own site prep, logistics, and the construction of several buildings while coordinating alongside two additional general contractors on a shared campus footprint. This is a long -term opportunity. The first phase alone is estimated at 22 months, with continued growth beyond that. For the right safety leader, this is the kind of project that anchors a career chapter. As Campus Safety Lead, you won't be filling a seat. You'll be building and running a safety program from the ground up, leading a team of several safety professionals, and setting the standard for how safety is done on one of the most complex construction sites in West Texas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of construction safety experience with demonstrated leadership responsibility
  • Direct experience in data center construction safety, with GC -side experience strongly preferred
  • OSHA 30 -Hour Construction certification
  • Current OSHA 500 certification or ability to renew
  • Current First Aid / CPR certification
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and develop a field safety team
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across project teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders
  • Willingness to relocate to Turkey, TX (relocation assistance available, terms to be discussed)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience on large campus or multi -building construction projects
  • Background managing safety across multiple simultaneous GC scopes or shared -site environments
  • Professional safety certification (CSP, ASP, or equivalent a strong plus)
  • Familiarity with data center -specific hazards including electrical systems, mechanical/HVAC coordination, and energized equipment protocols

Responsibilities

  • Lead campus -wide safety operations: Serve as the senior safety authority for the lead GC's scope across the entire campus, including site prep, logistics coordination, and four building construction projects running concurrently.
  • Build and manage your team: Hire, direct, and develop a safety team of professionals embedded across the project.
  • Coordinate across GCs: Collaborate with two additional general contractors operating on the same campus, ensuring safety standards are maintained across all shared spaces and interfaces.
  • Report to the top: Work directly with the Regional Mission Critical Safety Director, maintaining visibility and alignment with company -wide safety leadership.
  • Drive compliance and culture: Implement and enforce the company's safety program including OSHA standards, site -specific protocols, and data center construction best practices.
  • Own incident management: Lead investigations, track trends, report metrics, and drive corrective action to closure.
  • Conduct inspections and audits: Maintain a proactive hazard identification program across all active scopes of work on campus.
  • Manage subcontractor safety: Hold subcontractors accountable to the lead GC's safety expectations and client requirements.
  • Support project leadership: Partner with superintendents, project managers, and field leadership to integrate safety into every phase of the build.
