WCBay's Security department is a dedicated, service-focused team that works hard to keep the campus safe, secure, and welcoming for everyone. As a visible and trusted presence, they support residents, families, staff, and visitors while encouraging a culture of preparedness, accountability, and care. Guided by values like respect, passion, and professionalism, the team prioritizes clear communication, teamwork, and quick response in everything they do. With a proactive, community-minded approach, they help make sure everyone on campus feels safe and supported. The Campus Safety and Security Officer requires contact with the residents, their family members, team members and guests and visitors on campus. Very often the first interaction with guests and visitors, as well as the first responders for emergency calls. Performs security related responsibilities which includes conducting patrols of all buildings and grounds on and around campus and WCCB premises. Secures campus to ensure those not authorized are kept off the premises, and those who are permitted on campus have been properly screened and have the IDs visible while on campus. Responds to medical emergencies, and other emergencies on campus. Responsible for managing patrol parking on WCCB premises, enforcing parking policies, including managing violations, i.e., writing tickets, booting cars and managing towing [as authorized].
