About The Position

Campus Volunteer Coordinators (CVCs) are students who serve as campus liaisons with specific nonprofit agencies in the Portland metro area. These student leaders encourage their peers in volunteerism and civic engagement by creating a clear path for service. CVCs strengthen the Moreau Center by being direct links to the local community and by making local community needs known to their peers and the greater campus community. CVCs report to an agency supervisor and Moreau Center Program Manager for Community Engagement. This Campus Volunteer Coordinator position will support the Roosevelt High School SUN school program for the 2026-2027 academic year. They will support Roosevelt’s after school tutoring and food pantry and coordinate fellow UP students to also volunteer at Roosevelt.

Requirements

  • Willing to commit to an intensive volunteer experience
  • Prior work and/or volunteer experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Authentic desire to serve and impact local community
  • Personal or vocational interest in some of the following areas: education, social work, social justice, at-risk or underserved youth, environmental issues, poverty, homelessness
