About The Position

The Role Lord Abbett is seeking a motivated and analytically driven early‑career finance professional to join our team as a Capital Markets Analyst in the Treasury team. The team is responsible for the execution and ongoing management of credit facilities, debt issuance, and other financing transactions undertaken at both the corporate and fund level. The Analyst will support the Capital Markets Lead and the firm’s Treasurer in analyzing, executing, and monitoring financing transactions and capital markets activities, with particular exposure to the firm’s growing Alternatives platform. This role offers broad visibility across the organization and will work closely with key stakeholders including the CFO and teams across Finance, Investments, Client Services, Risk, and Legal. We’ll trust you to: Support the execution of all financing facilities across the firm, with a particular focus on the growing private credit and alternative investments franchise (real estate and ABF among others) Assist with amendments, renewals, and upsizing requests for credit facilities, including support for the annual renewal of the firm’s ’40 Act redemption lines Develop a working knowledge of the firm‑level and fund‑level financing structures and help provide analytical support to internal stakeholders Coordinate and help prepare responses to due diligence requests from prospective lenders Assist in creating peer benchmarking analyses of BDC and alternative fund capital structures across different stages of maturity Support pro‑forma analyses of borrowing bases and liquidity sources for BDCs and other leveraged vehicles Review Investment Committee materials to help assess deal characteristics relevant to leverage facility eligibility Analyze lender term sheets, summarize key terms, and help maintain internal tracking tools for financing activity Support communication with banks and external counsel related to financing documentation and market terms Assist in tracking banking relationships and lender engagement to support broader relationship management objectives Work with Controllers and Finance teams to support debt compliance monitoring, reporting processes and manage dashboards Contribute to ad‑hoc financial analyses and modeling as needed Collaborate effectively with colleagues across Investments, Finance, Legal, Client Services, Risk, and IT You'll need to have: 2+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, asset management, private credit, or a related buyside or advisory role Foundational exposure to debt capital markets, financing transactions, or credit analysis Ability to read through credit agreements and legal documents to understand and analyze terms, covenants and other obligations both as a borrower and a lender Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Bloomberg is a plus Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders Intellectual curiosity and a strong interest in capital markets and financing structures Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Math, or a related field Why Lord Abbett? Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $130,00 - $145,000 . Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance. Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, asset management, private credit, or a related buyside or advisory role
