About The Position

The Cardiac Device Arrhythmia Manager provides comprehensive clinical and operational leadership for implanted and external cardiac ambulatory monitoring programs across multiple locations. This role integrates advanced technical expertise with strategic program oversight to ensure high-quality patient outcomes, streamlined device workflows, and adherence to established best practices, including current Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) guidelines and industry standards. The Manager oversees cardiac device specialists, partners closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and drives quality, compliance, and process improvement initiatives to support excellence in cardiac rhythm management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in CIED management and cardiac rhythm management.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in patient education related to cardiac device therapy and remote monitoring.
  • Proficiency in cardiac device data interpretation, alert review, and clinical triage.
  • Working knowledge of billing and coding practices associated with device services.
  • Strong foundation in cardiac physiology, arrhythmia recognition, and cardiac device platforms.
  • Experience managing remote monitoring workflows, including coordination with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and platform integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive interrogations and troubleshooting of cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs), including pacemakers, ICDs, ILRs, and CRT devices.
  • Analyze and interpret device data across major remote monitoring platforms in collaboration with the Centralized Device Team, including Medtronic CareLink, Abbott Merlin, Boston Scientific Latitude, Biotronik Home Monitoring, and RhythMedix cardiac ambulatory monitoring systems.
  • Communicate critical findings and alerts promptly and accurately to physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives for in-office CIED evaluations and MCOT/Holter end-of-service reports to maintain the highest standards of clinical accuracy and documentation integrity.
  • Oversee inventory management and logistics for cardiac ambulatory monitors and CIED programmers across multiple office locations.
  • Manage monitor inventory management processes, including cleaning, restocking, tracking, and coordinating necessary repairs.
  • Ensure efficient turnaround of MCOT/Holter devices and seamless coordination between sites.
  • Supervise patient education initiatives related to remote monitoring, including connectivity optimization, follow-up on missed transmissions, and appointment compliance.
  • Train, mentor, and support device coordinators and clinical team members.
  • Develop and deliver ongoing educational programs for healthcare professionals to promote clinical excellence in cardiac rhythm management.
  • Partner with practice leadership to streamline workflows and enhance patient care delivery.
