Job Title: Cardiologist Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Greensboro, NC Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Jun 15, 2026 – Jun 15, 2027 Clinical Shift Schedule: Nights | M–Th 8p – 6a (10 hrs), Fri 8p – 7a (11 hrs), Sat 5p – 7a (14 hrs), Sun 5p – 6a (13 hrs) COVERAGE DATES Jun 15, 2026 – Jun 15, 2027 PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults Case Mix: Bread & Butter Cardiology including inpatient consults and evaluation & management services FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 628 -bed hospital Trauma Level: Level II Trauma Center EMR System: Epic Office Equipment Available: Pager provided by the HeartCare department Specialty Backup Available: Electrophysiology service available for temporary pacemaker coverage Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 60 – 90 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: TBD REQUIRED PROCEDURES Inpatient cardiology evaluation and management Cardiology consults and follow -up care No invasive procedures required JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active NC medical license Board: Board Certified in Cardiology DEA: Active DEA Certification Certifications: BLS and ACLS Experience: Minimum 1–2 years cardiology experience Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide inpatient cardiology coverage during scheduled night shifts Evaluate and manage adult cardiology patients in the hospital setting Provide consultative cardiology services for admitted patients Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Active NC medical license
- Board Certified in Cardiology
- Active DEA Certification
- BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 1–2 years cardiology experience
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
