About The Position

The Cardiopulmonary Technician I supports the organization by performing various basic cardiovascular and pulmonary tests ordered by the patients provider. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 1. Performs ECGs on patients during scheduled appointments as requested by provider 2. Provide patient education and hook up of short and long-term holter monitors 3. Performs exercise oximetry tests 4. Monitors cardiac status during stress echocardiograms (treadmill and chemical) 5. Performs basic pulmonary Function Testing 6. Prepares testing rooms for patient tests, keeping the rooms neat and clean 7. Demonstrates appropriate and accurate documentation of patient test results Additional Responsibilities: 1. Inventory and order medical and office supplies or equipment 2. Assists in billing, data entry, and lab equipment care/maintenance 3. Other duties as assigned QualificationsQualifications Experience One year work experience as a Medical Assistant or closely related position Education High School Education or equivalent required Previous experience in RT/PFT lab preferred Current BLS certification or completion within 6 months of employment is required Work Environment Possible exposure to communicable diseases Physical Requirements Occasionally lifts and/or carries items weighing up to 25 pounds for distances of up to 50 feet. Requires full range of body motion Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time Vision and hearing within normal range with or without corrective lenses/ devices. Other Skills Ability to deal with the public efficiently, courteously, politely, and effectively required Basic computer skills which enable the entry and retrieval of data including the use of Microsoft Word and Outlook required. Experience with EMR systems preferred. Requirements

  • One year work experience as a Medical Assistant or closely related position
  • High School Education or equivalent required
  • Current BLS certification or completion within 6 months of employment is required
  • Ability to deal with the public efficiently, courteously, politely, and effectively required
  • Basic computer skills which enable the entry and retrieval of data including the use of Microsoft Word and Outlook required.
  • Must demonstrate consistent professional conduct

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in RT/PFT lab preferred
