About The Position

A leading acute care hospital in North Central Florida is seeking experienced Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurses (CVICU RNs) to support a high-acuity critical care environment. This role focuses on caring for complex cardiovascular and post-operative ICU patients , including those requiring ventilatory support, vasoactive drips, and continuous cardiac monitoring. The CVICU offers a collaborative, team-based culture with strong clinical leadership and a focus on advanced cardiac care.

Requirements

Active Florida RN license or multistate compact RN license
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU RN experience
Will consider 2+ years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
BLS (AHA) within 30 days of start
ACLS (AHA) within 90 days of start
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Nice To Haves

CVICU, cardiac ICU, or cardiothoracic ICU experience
BSN

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to critically ill cardiovascular ICU patients
Perform advanced hemodynamic assessments and continuous cardiac monitoring
Manage ventilated patients, vasoactive infusions, and complex medication regimens
Collaborate with cardiologists, intensivists, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams
Serve as a patient and family advocate, ensuring privacy, safety, and education
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, procedures, and recovery plans
Identify and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice
