About The Position

Where You’ll Work Founded in 1940, Dignity Health - Marian Regional Medical Center is a 191-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in Santa Maria, California. One California In keeping with the Dignity Health core values, perform diagnostic medical sonographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision to technical detail. Perform a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assume responsibility for specific diagnostic sonographic procedures as required.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of cardiovascular or ultrasound technology program AND less than 1 year recent hands on scanning experience (within the last 6 months) either as a vascular student or as a sonographer
  • Associates Of Science A.S. degree and/or graduate of an accredited school of cardiovascular or ultrasound technology program AND Zero (0) to three (3) years of experience in peripheral vascular ultrasound procedures
  • Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) through the American Heart Association
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) within 12 - months Required or Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI (RCS) N/A within 12 - months Preferred
  • B.S. degree and/or graduate of an accredited school of cardiovascular or ultrasound technology program and 1-3 years Recent acute care experience performing peripheral vascular ultrasound procedures.
