About the position
The Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) Extern delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic tasks and services related to common CVT functions. Under the supervision of the CVT, the CVT Extern assists the Cardiovascular Cath Lab staff in providing patient care in accordance with the CVT Extern's skills/training and the needs of the Department, and consistently assists the team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe care environment. The CVT Extern is currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited CVT Program and can perform higher-level tasks/procedures once competency is achieved.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of delegated basic tasks and services related to common CVT functions.
- Assist the Cardiovascular Cath Lab staff in providing patient care.
- Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe care environment.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) program.
- 1+ year of experience in customer service or acute care setting preferred.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
