About The Position

Under supervision, functions as a member of a team utilizing equipment and services. Sets up, operates and monitors specialized equipment and supplies utilized for cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures. Functions as assistant to cardiologist or surgeons during catheter-based and devise implant procedures. We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Cardiovascular Technologist to join our Cath Lab team in a rural hospital setting in Brainerd. Our program supports a 24/7 STEMI service, providing lifesaving care to our community and surrounding regions, and relies on a strong, collaborative team environment. Working in a rural setting means being adaptable, resourceful, and ready to step in where needed. Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of a Radiology Technology, Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent program. If not a graduate of above programs must have 4yrs of direct cath lab experience
  • Must be currently registered Radiological Technologist or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or must become RT(R) or RCIS certified within 18 months of hire or transfer
  • Current Certification (or within 1 month of hire) as American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or within 6 months of hire)

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including emergent STEMI cases.
  • Prep patients and equipment for procedures
  • Monitor patient status throughout procedures
  • Ensure a safe, efficient workflow in a fast-paced environment.
  • This position also includes participation in an on-call rotation to sup port our 24/7 coverage.
