Job Summary and Responsibilities This job is responsible for assisting with patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse; performs data entry, unit secretarial functions, and equipment processing.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program or Military Medical Specialty training
  • Certified Nursing Assistant license: WA State
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, through the American Heart Association
  • Six months related work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a hospital setting
  • Experience in a specialty unit.
  • Preference is given towards applicants with experience as both a Certified Nursing Assistant and Unit Coordinator.

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive personal care, hygiene, and comfort to patients, assisting with daily needs and preparing them for procedures.
  • Monitors and reports patient conditions, collects and transports samples, and accurately documents clinical activities within the scope of practice.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and stocked work environment, manages equipment, and ensures proper supplies and forms are available.
  • Ensures a safe patient and work environment by strictly adhering to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory standards, while actively participating in emergency preparedness.
  • Manages comprehensive administrative and communication duties, including reception, scheduling, dispatch, patient orientation, and coordination of services, to ensure smooth unit operations and support for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Performs vital unit support activities, including record management, data entry, administrative tasks, and charge reconciliation, ensuring efficient operation and adherence to procedures, especially during system downtime.
