The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in medical administration, excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to virtual platforms.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience working in a medical office , Senior Living Community engagement or other related fields
  • 1+ years experience in Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation or other practice management tools
  • Experience with computers
  • Office 365 Suite
  • 100% remote position requiring a reliable high-speed internet connection.

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound calls and requests from facilities / facility staff
  • Address patient and durable power of attorney (DPOA) inquiries via telephone
  • Respond to patient or caregiver messages received via the Curana Patient Portal
  • Assist patients with scheduling follow-up appointments with Curana Providers or specialists
  • Manage electronic health records (HER) and ensure accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Assist with patient census management activities
  • Maintain patient rosters for patients enrolled in Chronic Care Management
  • Upload new residents into the Care Management platform
  • Update flags and census information in GehriMed
  • Coordinate documents needed for review or signature by a provider
  • Facilitate provider orders and escalate findings
  • Obtain patient records and diagnostic test results
  • Answer and manage incoming calls professionally and courteously
  • Collaborate with the Curana Care Team to ensure seamless communication within our health network
  • Other duties as assigned
