About The Position

The Career Coach is the key point of contact for participants including conducting outreach, case management services, assessments, and development of individualized career plans. The Career Coach will work one on one and in group settings with participants to facilitate participation in program services and activities such as soft skill workshops, vocational training, and employment opportunities. The Career Coach will also reinforce skills learned in educational workshops and support participants’ success in meaningful work experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Relations, Education, Counseling or related field, required. Three years of equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of education.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in community and/or family engagement within low-income communities, required
  • 2+ years’ experience working with data input and tracking, required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends when required
  • Sufficient mobility and strength to move about the facility.
  • Ability to be mobile throughout the community.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with young adult populations, preferred
  • Knowledge of workforce or industry trends in Oklahoma, highly recommended
  • Established relationships with community providers area, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Work with community partners to identify and recruit participants 15 years of age and older
  • Manage a caseload of participants, providing coaching in group and individual settings
  • Meet with participants to identify career interests and education/training needs
  • Develop individual career plans based on participants’ barriers, strengths, and goals
  • Track and monitor activities, attendance, and progress
  • Assist completion of pre and post assessments and surveys
  • Assist in matching participants with job opportunities; and application and interview processes
  • Input and maintain participant data in an electronic database system
  • Make internal and external referrals for services as deemed appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned
