We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate caregiver, “Personal Assistant” to support a wonderful man who is experiencing the challenges of aging. He lives in his own home in Gladstone and, while he can no longer get out of bed independently, and needs more support, he has a warm sense of humor and enjoys the company of others. This position involves helping with daily activities, including meal preparation, all housekeeping, and personal care. You'll offer emotional support and help him navigate feelings of frustration or sadness, providing comfort and structure throughout his day. Additionally, you’ll assist with medication management, food tracking, and help him maintain a positive, routine-based environment. This role requires patience and empathy, as the individual may experience moments of anger or sadness. However, your ability to provide a calm, positive, and supportive presence will make a significant difference in his daily life. You’ll work two shifts totaling 41 hours per week: Thursday 7:00pm to Friday 8:00am & Friday 3:00pm to Saturday 7:00pm You’ll also work your regular hours on Agency holidays.
