About The Position

Talem Home Care is seeking caring and compassionate individuals to join our team as Personal Care Providers in Colorado Springs, CO 80132 and surrounding areas. As a Personal Care Provider, you'll provide unskilled personal care and household services for clients in their homes. You'll assist with household chores, personal hygiene, and provide companionship to ensure our clients' spaces are clean, safe, and organized. We're flexible part-time or possible full-time shifts to work around your current schedule, plus quick orientation to get started fast. We have Morning, Evening, Weekdays and Weekend shift's available! Talem Home Care is committed to empowering people to take control of their health. The Personal Care Provider provides unskilled personal care and household services for the client in their home. This person is integral in serving as a companion as well as ensuring our clients’ space is clean, safe, and organized. You'd be able to support someone in your neighborhood and see the difference your care makes every day.

Requirements

Valid, current driver's license and access to a reliable automobile
Must be at least 18yrs old
Able to stand, kneel, bend at knees, and squat throughout the day.
Ability to safely assist clients in and out of a vehicle and safely lift a wheelchair or walker weighing up to 50lbs into and out of a vehicle.
Physical ability to lift and transfer clients
Use arms, legs, feet, hands, and fingers to assist clients with performing tasks of daily living.
Frequently move the whole body to perform tasks such as lifting, light housekeeping, walking, and driving.
Sitting for long periods of time
Ability to see and hear well (naturally or with correction)

Nice To Haves

One year or more personal care experience in a home care setting preferred

Responsibilities

Observes and maintains home environment to ensure the safety and security of the client
Assists with household chores including cooking, meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry
Assists in completing activities such as shopping and appointments outside the home
Provides companionship including, but not limited to, social interaction, conversation, emotional reassurance, encouragement of reading, writing, and mind-stimulating activities
Performs or assists the client with personal hygiene, including bathing, hair care, mouth care, and dressing, when skilled skin care, skilled transfer, or skilled dressing is not required.
Maintains timely service records of home visits
Attends and participates in appropriate client care conferences, staff and education meetings, and agency committee meetings.
