Requirements

  • At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience required
  • Alzheimer's or Dementia experience
  • Strong professional communication skills, patience, and adaptability
  • Empathy, compassion and kindness a MUST
  • Ability to use sound judgement and remain calm in a variety of situations
  • Must be reliable, dependable and on time
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Basic computer skills
  • Driver for clients (with vehicle, car insurance and registration)
  • Caregivers must comply with state background screening requirements and must be eligible to work in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • Total care, skilled nursing facility, memory care, or rehab experience highly valued

Responsibilities

  • Personal care: dressing, bathing, grooming and assisting with meals
  • Light housekeeping: basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing
  • Transportation: Driving clients to appointments, running errands, and grocery shopping
  • Companionship: games, puzzles or other activities that provide social and emotional support
  • Hoyer lift transfers and full bed-bound care
  • Bed baths, incontinence care, and mobility support
  • Light housekeeping and meal preparation
  • Collaboration with an actively involved family care team
