About The Position

GenCare Lifestyle @ The Village at Granite Falls is a Premier IL/AL Senior Living Community in beautiful Granite Falls. We are seeking to add amazing, caring, and compassionate quality licensed CNA/HCA Caregiver to our team. We currently have PT CNA/HCA Med Tech positions available. Must have a kind, patient attitude as you will be assisting Senior Living Residents live a more purposeful life. Perform personal care assistance to include, but not limited to bathing, mobility, grooming, dressing, and toileting to residents. Provide a clean, orderly, and safe environment for the resident when providing care. Ability to listen and respond to verbal and non-verbal communication in an appropriate manner. Demonstrate the ability to identify the psychosocial characteristics of all residents including those with mental illness, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other related disorders. Compile current resident health records to include all medication, medication changes, accidents, or illness while on shift and communicate to Wellness Director. Notify Wellness Director immediately of any resident changes of an emergency nature. Assist residents in planning health related appointments and arrangements for transportation, as needed. Complete a Narcotics check between shifts with other staff. Notify Wellness Director of any resident refusals of medication, meals, and/or activities of daily living. Ensure all medications are supervised according to state regulations. Perform duties as listed in PERS system to include ADL’s and/or medication assistance. Demonstrate consistency regarding residents’ rights and decisions regarding care. Report resident concerns and any act of neglect or abuse including but not limited to verbal and/or physical abuse, exploitation, sexual assault and/or abandonment to appropriate facility and state staff. Be available to train for and cover other shifts and assist the Wellness Director to ensure the smooth operation of the community, specifically the Wellness Department. Utilize cleaning chemicals according to manufacturers’ specifications by following the instructions of the appropriate safety data sheets (SDS) and GenCare Lifestyle company policy. Demonstrate the ability to identify and use proper personal protective equipment during the care of residents. Demonstrate working knowledge of the emergency procedures and hazardous chemicals specific to and used by the Wellness Department. Demonstrate respect and a team approach with all co-workers. Observe and notify Wellness Director of any unusual behaviors, concerns, or occurrences in the community. Ensure self-compliance with all of GenCare Lifestyle company policies and procedures and all Assisted Living rules and regulations showing ability to explain procedures and policies before and during care of residents. Assist Wellness Director with training of new care staff. Complete all other duties as assigned. Promote and comply with resident rights.
