Since 1977, we have been growing into the premier residential remodeling company in South Central Wisconsin and we are seeking a talented Window and Door Installer to join our passionate team and contribute to our continued success. Job Summary • The Carpenter is responsible for successfully completing remodeling jobs ranging in scope from a few hours to multiple weeklong projects. They must work with Expediters, Project Managers and their fellow Carpenters to ensure clean, safe, and efficient work sites from start to finish. This role reports to the Production Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of construction experience required and some residential remodeling experience preferred.
  • Lead safe renovator certification preferred or ability to acquire it.
  • Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License is desired and an excellent driving record.
  • The physical demands are typical to those of construction work. They can demand regularly lifting or moving 50 lbs and up to 90 lbs with assistance. Climbing ladders. Using power and hand tools.
  • Working conditions require the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. And frequently requires the use of personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to noise, heights, and hazardous materials.
  • The work schedule is typically Monday - Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm and can vary based on the job scope.
  • 95% travel required in and around Dane County. The remaining 5% is on the road or at our Waunakee Warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret construction plans.
  • Build carpentry projects according to plan documents from demolition to framing to trim work.
  • Work with Expediters throughout the project to address concerns and general progress updates.
  • Prepare project for work provided by subcontractors.
  • Interact professionally with vendors and suppliers on the job site.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide and maintain personal tools and equipment and ensure proper and safe working conditions.
  • Maintain a professional image at all times.
