About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Technician to support facility maintenance, fabrication, and repair operations. This position is ideal for an experienced tradesperson who takes pride in craftsmanship, understands safety in high-traffic environments, and can perform a wide range of carpentry and building maintenance tasks independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

Proficient use of carpentry hand tools and power tools
Strong skills in furnishing, finishing, and detailed carpentry work
Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and technical drawings
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 75 lbs
Ability to work in active, high-security, and high-traffic environments
Proven experience in commercial, facilities, or structural carpentry
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to pass background screening (airport compliance required)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail

Responsibilities

Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair wood structures, fixtures, and equipment
Assemble stages, risers, and temporary structures for special airport events
Perform repair and replacement of doors, frames, locks, cabinetry, and wood finishes
Install and repair chain-link fencing to ensure secure and functional perimeter areas
Repair modular office furniture, restroom partitions, ceilings, floors, walls, and roofs
Monitor, inspect, and maintain park, facility, and structural wood assets for safety and integrity
Interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine layouts, dimensions, and materials
Build or repair cabinets, frameworks, flooring, doors, and custom fixtures using hand and power tools
Remove damaged or defective structural components and complete repairs or replacements
Inspect ceiling and floor tiles, wall coverings, siding, glass, and woodwork for damage
Ensure all facilities, equipment, and structures are safe, operational, and code-compliant
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free jobsite
Move, stage, and transport materials as required
Follow all airport security protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
