Summary: Responsible for ensuring clients leave treatment with a solid aftercare plan, safe housing, and further needed treatment. Assist in meeting overall census and budget goals.

Requirements

  • ADT certificate or active licensure to provide SUD services in Maryland
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound clinical judgment and excellent clinical skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve by gathering and analyzing information.
  • Ability to handle a crisis situation and react appropriately.
  • A working knowledge of federal and state standards as well as regulating body standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality direct and indirect client care to individuals with substance abuse or chemical dependency problems.
  • Assesses clients' continuing care/referral needs.
  • Establishes rapport with clients.
  • Obtains the necessary information and releases from clients, family, referral sources, and other appropriate resources.
  • Makes referrals to Mental Health and Drug & Alcohol facilities for continuing care.
  • Sets up Halfway House interviews and placements.
  • Works closely with counselors and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Attends and participates in program, clinical, and administrative meetings.
  • Actively supports the facility’s ongoing referral program.
  • Participates in mandatory orientation and training activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
