The CMA will work side by side with the SW/RN Case Management to assist with discharge planning and utilization review activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in a healthcare related field (i.e.' psychology, biology, public health, healthcare administration, community health) is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years in patient care or other related healthcare field preferred.
  • Previous experience in case management, discharge planning or utilization management is strongly preferred
  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills necessary to gather and exchange data, (both internally and externally) with key medical professionals, patient and patient family members.
  • Able to effectively utilize critical thinking and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge and experience with computers.
  • Knowledge of Interqual criteria.
