About The Position

The position is primarily responsible for case management for alternative court participants and support for treatment. The role involves assessing new participants for service needs, making community referrals, developing case management plans, and maintaining knowledge of community-based agencies. The individual will also deliver program orientation to new participants and serve as a connector between Justice Link and Housing Solutions.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate degree in criminal justice or a related field of study or 2 years satisfactory full-time paid employment in criminal justice or a related field of work; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional experience in direct service case management is preferred for this position.
  • PRSS certification and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Some knowledge of substance abuse, mental health, and the court system is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide case management services for alternative court participants.
  • Assess new participants for service needs, including housing, transportation, education, vocation, and any other need which may hinder completion of the program.
  • Make appropriate community referrals for housing, food, transportation, and any other needs that are identified.
  • Develop and update case management (CM) plans as indicated.
  • Identify new or enhanced community referral sources and update the team and Facebook page.
  • Develop and implement a community engagement plan for participants as they graduate from the therapeutic court.
  • Maintain knowledge of community-based agencies and ancillary resources and distribute to the team as necessary.
  • Deliver program orientation to all new participants.
  • Perform related responsibilities or activities as directed.
  • Serve as a connector between Justice Link and Housing Solutions.
