Under direct supervision, the Case Manager II serves as a primary support and case manager for individuals with mental illness and other co-occurring disorders by assisting them to live as independently as possible in their chosen community. The California AB (Assembly Bill) 109 VOICE (Ventura Opportunities for Integrating into the community environment) program is an Assertive Community Treatment model program that provides services to persons who are coming out of the California Department of Corrections, are in need of mental health services, and have been designated to be supervised by the Ventura County Probation Department, rather than by parole. The services provided are outpatient and often take place in the field rather than in the office.
