GENERAL SUMMARY: The Social Worker provides services to patient, family members and/or significant others to help deal with adjustment to illness problems, understanding and accepting diagnoses, prognoses or treatment of new or recurrent disease. The Social Worker will work to implement a safe and appropriate transition to the next level of care.

Requirements

• MSW Masters Degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work
• State of Michigan license, LMSW, or license eligible, LLMSW
• 2 years as an MSW Social Worker in an acute care setting
• Demonstrated ability to work with all age groups of patients
• Able to communicate effectively, demonstrating good audio and visual acuity
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
