About The Position

Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to: Oversee the cash posting team for the respiratory division, including the reconciliation of the daily cash sheet. Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts in a timely and accurate manner Review and reconcile payments received from insurance companies and patients Identify, create and implement workflows to improve efficiency and timeliness of posting Communicate with AR Team and Finance to resolve posting issues Ensure zero remittances are obtained and posted timely Communicate posting issues, trends identified during routine activity Maintain accurate records of all payment transactions, EOB’s and correspondence Oversee the month-end closing procedure in conjunction with Finance. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. Requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies weighing 20 pounds at minimum and no more than 35 pounds.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of healthcare cash posting or revenue cycle experience
  • 1–2 years of supervisory or lead experience preferred
  • Experience with insurance payments, ERAs, and EOB interpretation
  • Appropriate computer skills for the position (Microsoft Office Suite) and areas of influence required??
  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail and quality, is required
  • Ability to identify and address issues independently?
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to communicate with patients, colleagues’ management, and insurance plan representatives

  • 1–2 years of supervisory or lead experience preferred
