Verus Mortgage Capital is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cash Operating Analyst to support funding operations and cash management activities within the Finance & Accounting team. This role is responsible for funding wholesale origination loans, supporting correspondent funding processes, managing escrow tracking, processing wires, and performing cash reconciliations. The ideal candidate has experience in mortgage funding or cash operations, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage time-sensitive financial transactions with accuracy and urgency. Responsibilities and Duties: Fund wholesale origination loans in accordance with internal controls and funding timelines. Support the correspondent funding process, ensuring accurate and timely execution. Track and monitor origination escrows, ensuring proper calculation, disbursement, and reconciliation. Process and confirm wires as requested, including validation of wire instructions and compliance with internal procedures. Perform daily and monthly cash reconciliations and other supporting account reconciliations. Monitor cash activity and ensure proper posting and movement of funds. Provide backup support for core Finance and Accounting functions as needed. Assist with ad hoc reporting, research, and special projects. Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and operational efficiency. Contribute to the success of the department with willingness to cross train and share in all department Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 1–3 years of experience in mortgage funding, cash operations, treasury, or financial operations. Strong understanding of wholesale and/or correspondent mortgage funding processes. Experience processing wires and handling time-sensitive cash transactions. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
