About The Position

As a highly motivated Category Manager on the Walmart team, you will lead a strategic advised business focused on category & share growth. Additionally, this individual will provide the Walmart merchant with unbiased strategic and tactical recommendations using relevant shopper insights, assortment optimization and merchandising best practices to increase sales and gain market share. It will require being proactive with generating actionable insights from POS data, syndicated data and internal data sources. Executing a modular relay which includes drawing best in class modulars and completing key milestones on time and error free.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 3+ years’ experience in Category Management, data analytics or a sales role.
• Ability to think strategically and have excellent problem-solving & analytical skills.
• Exceptional organization, communication (both written & verbal), and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of building relationships with merchants and other key stakeholders.
• High degree of self-motivation and discipline.
• Ability to work independently with a team-oriented mindset.

Nice To Haves

• JDA/Blue Yonder, PowerBI, Tableau.
• Experience in E-Commerce tools and analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the entire modular process including the drawing of modulars.
• Develop strong working relationships with the merchants and cross functional partners.
• Gather competitive market intelligence using syndicated tools such as IRI, Nielson, Numerator, etc.
• Analyze data resulting in actionable insights for the category, consumer and shopper.
• Leverage Scintilla data to tease out key insights for the Walmart merchant and develop strategies to best utilize the shopper data.
• Drive category growth by leveraging omni‑channel insights to shape winning assortments across physical and digital shelves.
