Job Summary: Supervises daily diagnostic, therapeutic and related activities and procedures. Provides leadership by utilizing people, technology and financial resources to efficiently deliver services. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
  • Three years' catheterization experience
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography (ARRT-R): Required
  • Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA and HI
  • Current Fluoroscopy license: Required in CA within 6 months of hire
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS or HS-BLS or RQIBLS) certification: Required
  • Fluoroscopy (FLUORO): Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor’s)
  • Five years' technical experience
  • Two years' leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Functions as a catheterization lab team member.
  • Maintains necessary knowledge and skills to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety and related needs for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients.
  • Establishes departmental goals and objectives to ensure high-quality and cost-effective patient care, while collaborating to integrate catheterization lab and general hospital goals.
  • Evaluates patient data and assessment outcomes.
  • Ensures patient satisfaction and quality services, while adhering to regulations.
  • Provides day-to-day technical oversight to staff; may become actively involved to meet schedules and resolve problems.
  • Conducts performance reviews and provides input on direct reports for human resource decisions such as hiring, promotions and disciplinary actions.
  • Participates in the development of employees.
  • Supports daily operations of Cath Lab, i.e. scheduling, staffing, financial reviews, PACS management, and supply/equipment management.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
