JOB SCOPE: The CCBHC Certified Recovery Peer Advocate provides direct services geared towards assisting individuals with histories of medical, substance use, and mental health needs, engage in treatment and promote wellness. The Certified Recovery Peer Advocate provides support services on and off-site to engage individuals on a continuum of care to help them improve wellness and functioning in the community. Services include individual and groups meetings to engage and assist individuals identify needed services. The Certified Recovery Peer Advocate must be skilled in engagement, advocacy, and recognizing crisis situations. The position is required to provide services both in the office and in the community, to ensure that individual needs are met. The Certified Recovery Peer Advocate will liaison with community agencies, health care providers and others on behalf of individuals to facilitate access to services to improve their ability to function in the community and increase wellness self-management. This position operates as part of a multi-disciplinary CCBHC team and requires collaboration with the clinical treatment team, and external entities. The CCBHC Certified Recovery Peer Advocate is responsible for participating in mobile crisis team, with rotating on-call coverage to respond to community-based crises outside of clinic operating hours.
