The Clinical Director provides strategic and operational leadership of clinical services within New Mexico Solutions’ Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). The Clinical Director oversees all clinical programs, including outpatient therapy, case management, crisis response, and integrated care coordination. The role is responsible for clinical supervision, performance management, compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, and ensuring fidelity to CCBHC service models. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Independent licensure in New Mexico (e.g., LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent).
  • Minimum five (3) years of progressive experience in behavioral health clinical practice, including two (1) years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical program oversight, compliance, and staff development.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, integrated behavioral health models, and evidence-based interventions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) or similar integrated care environment.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid, managed care systems, and state/federal behavioral health regulations.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and data-driven performance management.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Leadership & Oversight Provide ongoing clinical supervision, consultation, and mentorship to therapists, case managers, and related clinical staff.
  • Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and maintain a culture of clinical excellence, ethics, and accountability.
  • Monitor and support staff in achieving productivity and quality outcomes while maintaining high clinical standards.
  • Oversee case assignments, service planning, and coordination to ensure timely, appropriate, and effective client care.
  • Facilitate regular interdisciplinary treatment team meetings to review cases, assess outcomes, and promote integrated care.
  • Administrative Management Collaborate with the CCBHC Project Director to develop, implement, and evaluate clinical policies, workflows, and service delivery models.
  • Oversee clinical compliance with state, federal, and CCBHC-specific standards, including documentation, quality assurance, and performance metrics.
  • Participate in program audits, data reviews, and outcome reporting to demonstrate clinical impact and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with leadership to develop and maintain staff schedules, coverage plans, and programmatic priorities.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and evaluation processes for all clinical positions within the CCBHC.
  • Training, Compliance & Quality Coordinate and/or provide clinical training and professional development opportunities for clinical staff.
  • Monitor service delivery for compliance with confidentiality, licensure, and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with Quality Improvement, Compliance, and HR teams to identify performance gaps and implement corrective action plans as needed.
  • Stay informed on emerging best practices and regulatory updates relevant to behavioral health and the CCBHC model.
  • Collaboration & Mission Alignment Partner with internal and external stakeholders to promote care integration, community engagement, and system-level collaboration.
  • Model a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally competent approach in all aspects of leadership.
  • Serve as a key liaison between the clinical team and administrative leadership to ensure alignment of clinical goals with organizational objectives.
